At La Passion Hospitality, sustainability is not just a trend—it is the foundation of everything we do. As a group specializing in premium hotel and tourism services, we are committed to integrating environmentally friendly practices into every aspect of the guest experience. This article explores how we adhere to international standards, promote sustainable tourism, and protect marine environments through our cruise operations. These efforts not only help preserve natural resources but also elevate the value of the services we deliver to our guests.
The global hospitality and tourism industry has developed a clear framework of standards to measure and enhance sustainable performance. According to the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC), the core standards encompass four key pillars: sustainable management, social impact, environmental conservation, and economic benefits.
Widely recognized certifications such as GSTC help businesses evaluate their performance through specific indicators, including energy reduction and waste management.

At La Passion Hospitality, we apply these standards in tangible and measurable ways. We prioritize the use of recycled materials in interior design and amenities, such as furniture crafted from reclaimed wood and linen made from natural fibers. We collaborate with suppliers of organic products for both food and cosmetics, ensuring that 80% of ingredients used in our restaurants come from sustainable sources.
In addition, we have established the La Passion Green Fund, allocating 3% of profit from every booking to support coastal reforestation initiatives and community awareness programs focused on environmental protection.
Sustainable tourism is a core part of La Passion’s strategy, aimed at balancing guest needs with the preservation of local resources. We offer responsible travel products that encourage guests to explore cultural experiences without harming heritage sites.
Our Symphony cruise packages in coastal areas incorporate “leave no trace” guidelines, helping guests develop greater awareness of waste collection and respect for local ecosystems.
Through our premium cruise services, La Passion Hospitality strictly complies with Vietnam’s 2020 Environmental Protection Law, particularly the regulations concerning marine conservation. This law requires environmental impact assessments for all maritime transport activities and enforces stringent controls on waste discharged into the ocean.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has set a national goal to eliminate single-use plastics at tourist destinations by 2025, and we are proud to lead this effort across all of our cruise operations.
All waste is collected and sorted following strict procedures, with 100% of organic waste treated onshore. We minimize the use of single-use plastics by adopting ceramic tableware and metal utensils. Cruise engines undergo regular maintenance to reduce emissions, and we participate in marine water-quality monitoring programs in accordance with guidelines from the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.
These measures not only ensure full legal compliance but also enhance the guest experience—allowing travelers to feel a deeper, more meaningful connection with the ocean.
La Passion Hospitality’s commitment to sustainability is a harmonious blend of international standards, local creativity, and social responsibility. We strive not only to meet the expectations of our guests but also to contribute to a healthier, more responsible tourism industry.
